You've heard it before, the average recruiter takes just six seconds to review your resume before shortlisting so the first page of your resume needs to do a lot of heavy lifting!  I can show you how to both summarise and emphasise what makes you the perfect candidate on page one so that page two (and maybe page three) gets some eyeballs too. Any longer than three pages and your recruiter has zoned out. 

Focus on your achievements and strengths 

Copy and pasting your position description might seem like a good idea but it makes for very boring, very repetitive reading and gives little or no insight into what you actually did or how you did it. I can help you to clearly describe each job role while highlighting your achievements and demonstrating your skills and knowledge at the same time.  

Write for both a human and a digital audience 

You should consider the layout and content of your resume for both a recruiter and a job application system or ATS (Application Tracking System). With recruitment technology becoming more and more common, even in smaller organisations, leveraging keywords and using an easy to read design are key to navigating your way to a digital shortlist.
